For buyers

What a Product Information Consumer (PIC) does on PIE, and where to go for each task.

A Product Information Consumer (PIC) subscribes to supplier product feeds and integrates the data into its systems. If you are a retailer, distributor, or restaurant chain, this is your side of the platform.

Start here

Follow the Buyer quickstart to go from signup to browsing granted product data.

What you can do

  • Browse granted catalogues — see and search product data from producers who have granted your organisation access, in your enabled locales. See the Products guide.
  • Onboard suppliers — invite a supplier to submit product data through a scoped link, optionally gated by a quality profile; approved data lands in your catalogue. See the Onboarding guide.
  • Integrate via the API — pull product data, page through lists, and subscribe to webhooks. Start with Authentication and the API Reference.
  • Administer your organisation — team, roles, billing, notifications, and API keys. See the Org admin guide.

You see only what you're granted

A fresh buyer organisation has an empty catalogue. A producer must grant your organisation access before you can see any of their products, and that boundary is enforced in the database. The multi-tenancy concept explains grant-aware access.
